Guruvayur Mukkola Mission is a Christian vision that emerged from a religious pluralism environment that combined faith traditions. In the 1950s, the Marthoma faith community living in Kunnamkulam and Pazanji initiated the evangelism under the leadership of Father C.F. Joseph.
Chundal Center is located on the Theni route from Munnar, known as the Kashmir of Kerala, to the Tamil Nadu border. The village of Chundal is an evangelistic work site that has been operating under the Gospel Preaching Group since 1992.
Under the responsibility of the Gospel Preaching Group, the Attappadi Mission activities are progressing in six places in Palakkad district of Kerala. Most of the activities are carried out in the tribal areas. The main areas of operation of the mission are Agali, Puthur, Osathiyur, Sholayar and Dundur.
Neryamangalam is the place where the activities started on June 16, 1977 under the leadership of the Marthoma Gospel Preaching Group. Neryamangalam is the border of Ernakulam district and the gateway to Idukki district.

The Tamil Nadu Gospel Mission, Pollachi was started in 1983. The Pollachi Mission is an old mission of the Gospel Preaching Society itself. It has now been 41 years since the mission was started. In addition to the mission divided according to time, mission centers such as Dindigul-Amblikkai, Salem, Erode, Pollachi, Udumalpet, and Kuruvakalam have come into existence.
Udumalpet Mission, which was a part of Pollachi Mission, started functioning as an independent mission in 2013. As a result, it was possible to spread the gospel work through places like Coimbatore and Tippur. There are 450 believers and 250 investigators in the mission. The mission field is spread over 85 villages. There are 6 chapels in the mission field at Udumalai, Myladupara, Palani, Puthupalayam, Madathukulam and Kolumam.
Gobi Chettipalayam is a place located on the Erode-Mysore road, about 40 km from Erode. Kalingiyam, T.N. The evangelistic activities in the villages of Palayam and Kottupullam Palayam are being carried out with Gopichettipalayam as the center. The activities are mainly focused among the very ordinary and needy villagers.
On November 8, 1992, a young man named Denton arrived in Kerala in search of work in a village called Kankuzhi in Ariyalur district of Tamil Nadu and converted to Christianity there. As a result, he served for many years in the 'Ranni Nazareth' church; during this period, he donated 20 cents of land to the church from the family property he received at the evangelistic meeting held in the church. Thus, on 8th November 1992, the Andimadom Mission started its work. Mission fields are functioning in Pattanamkuruchi, Ayyan, Pamkuzhi, Pennadam and Valanjoor within 15 km of Andimatham Junction.
The Salem Mission is a mission operating in Salem, Tamil Nadu. This mission came into being due to the interest and efforts of the evangelistic individuals who came to these areas for study, work and other purposes. Its activities are being carried out in the villages of Salem and Namakkal districts of Tamil Nadu.
In 1940, many people from Kerala came to live in Uttara Kannada, Karnataka. They relied on the Angola Ashram for their spiritual growth. The Mundugod Marthoma Mission is a mission operating in Uttara Karnataka, formed as a special mission in the early 1990s. Located 132 km from the district headquarters, Karwar, the main income of this area comes from the agricultural sector.
The evangelistic work in Sirsi has been going on for 65 years. The main area of ??operation of the Sirsi Mission is in the hilly region of Uttara Karnataka. Sirsi, Soraba and Kuskur are the main centres of activity of the Sirsi Mission.
Amdalli Mission is a mission field started in 2000 to commemorate the birth centenary of Rev. P.J. Thomas, one of the founders of the Angola Ashram.
Hangal is a historical place in Haveri district of Karnataka. This mission is based in Hangal. Mission activities are very difficult in an area where caste system and religious hatred prevail. The work here began in 1990 as part of the Sirsi Mission, and in 2006 the Hangal Mission began operating independently. The mission is dedicated to the upliftment of the poor believers.
Hoskote Marthoma Mission is a mission work started in Karnataka in 1947. Rev. A.C. Zacharia and M.T. Joseph were the early mission workers. As a result of the work of Hoskote Mission, many mission fields were formed in Karnataka.
In 1930, the work of Marthoma Mission started in Kumta. At that time, 6 families were in the faith. Due to the work and influence of M.C. Varghese, an early member of the Marthoma Church, and then Rev. M.P. Philippos and K.T. George, many Basel Mission believers came to our faith and participated in worship.
In 1918, after the First World War, the mission activities led by German missionaries in Honavar, Karnataka were handed over to the NMS, and then the NMS handed over the church, schools, mission bungalow and land that were under the leadership of the Basel Mission to the Marthoma Church. For the past 105 years, the Marthoma Mission has been leading the mission activities in Uttara Kannada.
This work was started in 1969 in Sivanapuram village with two missionaries as part of the Hoskote Mission in South Karnataka. By the grace of God, it has been functioning as an independent mission since 1997.
Hubli, also known as Mini Mumbai, is one of the largest towns in North Karnataka. This mission field stretches for about 250 km from Hospet to Masanakatty. The mission's activities are mainly centered around Hubli, Hospet, and Masanakatti.
Spread across 25 villages in and around Jangamkotte, Karnataka, the Jangamkotte Mission works for the spiritual and social upliftment of the villagers. The activities are centered around the church in Jangamkotte, two chapels in Sulibele and Drivasandra, the prayer hall in Anuppahalli, and the house church in Basavapatna.
The Shankeshwar Mission is a mission working under the Gospel Preaching Society. This mission was under the Dandeli Mission in 1996. Missionary activities are being carried out for the social upliftment, education and Christian witness of the poor farmers.
Karwar Mission is one of the missions that paved the way for the mission activities of the Marthoma Gospel Preaching Group outside Kerala. In 1910, Rev. P.T. Varghese (Vengal Achan), P.S. Mathai, and P.O. Mathai started the mission activities. After the Second World War, the work undertaken by the Basel Mission was later handed over to the NMS due to political reasons and in 1940, the NMS was handed over to the Gospel Preaching Group.
The Kolar Mission in Karnataka has been under the charge of the Marthoma Evangelistic Association for 11 years. The mission continues to actively engage in social engagement through various programs such as worship and prayer groups, youth meetings, Sunday school, service groups, home prayers, and fasting prayers.
Chagalamari Mission is one of the missions started in 1992 in the underdeveloped rural areas of Andhra Pradesh under the charge of the Marthoma Gospel Preaching Group.
Visakhapatnam Marthoma Mission is a mission work that started in the Visakhapatnam Marthoma Parish in the Peddagantriyada area of Visakhapatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh in South India and was later taken over by the Marthoma Evangelistic Association.
Nandyal Marthoma Mission was started in Andhra Pradesh in 2001. The mission work is in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. At present, there are 9 churches and 4 home worship centers in 20 villages.
Vijayawada Marthoma Mission is one of the mission fields of the Marthoma Evangelistic Association in Andhra Pradesh. Vijayawada Marthoma Mission was started in 1999 in association with the Chennai-Bangalore Diocese of the Marthoma Church to cater to the needs of the student community who come to Vijayawada for educational purposes. Mission activities are carried out in and around Vijayawada.
Badvel Marthoma Mission is working under the responsibility of the Marthoma Evangelistic Association in the Chennai-Bangalore Diocese. The mission headquarters is located in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, 65 km from Kadapa town. The mission began operations in 2009. This is an area where poverty, caste system, and untouchability still prevail.
Secunderabad Mission is a mission in the Chennai-Bangalore Diocese of the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association. The late Dr. Mathews Mar Athanasius Thirumeni formed the mission center Shantimandiram Secunderabad Marthoma Mission. This mission was started in Telugu soil in 1954. It is the first mission center in Andhra Pradesh. Following the division of Andhra-Telangana states, this mission is functioning as a part of Telangana state. Since 1965, the Marthoma Evangelistic Association has been leading the activities here.
Nalgonda Mission is a mission field in Telangana for the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association. In 2017, the Nalgonda Marthoma Mission was started by the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association in Telangana as a gift for the birth centenary of the Padma Bhushan Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom Marthoma Valiya Metropolitan. This mission, which focuses on the villages in the border areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, leads many people to God. Evangelism and related activities are being carried out in various villages in the areas of Peddavoora, Nagarjunasagar, Kattikarlaguda, Suryappetta, Theppalavadu and Buvanagiri in Nalgonda district. Evangelism is also being carried out in the tribal communities of Benchara and Yerukula Mandala Chanchu.

The Sihora Christian Ashram of the Mar Thoma Church, located in the heart of India, is the result of the response to the call of God by 3 young men dedicated to the evangelization of North India (Rev. K.T. Thomas in Karimbaram, Anaprampal, Rev. John Varugis in Valeth Thop, Puthenkavu, and Rev. M.P. Mathew in Kaviyoor Mavel). The Sangha Yatra, which began on October 30, 1942, has completed 82 years. This ashram is a community of brothers and sisters who have taken a vow of simplicity, obedience, and celibacy and live on the path of faith. The motto of the ashram is “Thy will be done”.
The Bhopal Mission was started in 1955 in Sehatganj village, 23 km from Bhopal, as a result of the great vision of the late Dr. Alexander Marthoma Metropolitan for the evangelization of India. The mission, which has completed its platinum jubilee, is actively involved in the fields of education, social and health in the villages of Sehatganj, Gopishar, Satghunda, Rajiv Nagar and Tanda.
The initial workers of the mission, which was started on the land purchased from Shri Titus G., who worked with Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom struggle, were Rev. M. C. Varghese, N.V. Philip, T. K. Mathai, Rev. N.M. Abraham. The Sehed Ranch Ashram, which operates on a twelve and a half acre plot of land on the Bhopal-Raisin National Highway, is rich in school buildings, mission houses, missionary quarters, hostel buildings, fruit trees, and farmland.

Shadol Marthoma Mission is a gospel field area spread across the districts of Shadol and Anupur in the state of Madhya Pradesh, the heartland of India, and Manendragarh district in the state of Chhattisgarh. The Shadol Mission was started as a result of the vision and desire of the late Metropolitan Alexander Marthoma Valiya, who led the prayer group started by Christians who came from Kerala to places like Shadol, Chhachai and Dhanpuri in search of work during 1962-63, regardless of denomination, and the efforts of the soldiers and evangelists who came from the Sihora and Satna ashrams. Rev. A.T. Chacko, Evg. C.V. Varghese and Evg. George Varghese were the initial workers of the mission. In 1984, the leadership of the mission was taken over by the Marthoma Evangelistic Association.
Shadol, Dhanpuri, Anupur, Kothma, Bijuri, Amalai, Manendragarh, Jamudi, Boridand, Kapildara and Chandiniya are the main mission centres. The tribal groups like Baiga and Urao are still backward in poverty, education and social conditions. It is among these people that our mission works and provides worship and fellowship.
Chhattisgarh Mission successfully complete the 22 years graceful service
Bastar district of Chhattisgarh state is a plain area located at an altitude of about 2000 feet above sea level. This place, which is one of the largest states in India, has a very high Maoist presence. The work of the Marthoma Evangelistic Association is being carried out in the tribal villages of Jattam, Majiguda and Chilkutty, within a radius of 25 km from the district headquarters, Jagdalpur. This mission, which started in 1996, has so far employed about 12 evangelists and 6 missionary fathers.
It has been 21 years since the work of the Rajasthan Mission began in the village of Mundia. The evangelistic work is mainly carried out in three villages.
The Tibetan Border Mission was started in 1956 in the villages of Uttarakhand under the name of Suvartha Prema Samiti by Rev. A.K. George, Prof. P.P. Thomas, and V.S. Jones. On January 5, 1966, the Marthoma Gospel Preaching Group took over the mission. The work here is carried out in three centers. The Marthoma Gramajyothi School, Rev. A.K. George Educational Support Center, etc. are the main activities. Along with evangelistic activities, the mission also plays a major role in the educational and social development of children in the village.“Bihar“Samastipur Mission“Samastipur Mission is the only mission center of the Marthoma Church in the state of Bihar. Mission activities are concentrated in villages within a radius of five to ten kilometers from Samastipur town. The people of this area are educationally, socially and economically backward.
The work of the Marthoma Gospel Preaching Group in Goa was started in 1989. Mission activities are carried out in the areas of Madgaon, Vasco, Ponda, Panchim, San Vartem and Mothnagar. The mission activities are carried out with the cooperation of four parish members in Goa. Since there are a large number of migrant workers in Goa, efforts are being made to expand activities among them as well.

The Kalinga Mission was started by Adv. P.A. Cyrus, who started around forty house hostels and village-level Kingdom of God ministries in Rayagada district of Odisha, at the 2010 Maramon Convention. The dream of owning a place of their own has come true by purchasing 2.36 acres of land in Bissamcuttack. 8 local evangelists are working as village evangelists in Rajjupattar, Doisingh, Bellanguda, Laxmipur, Astada, Betiguda, Kalgumuda, Gumada, Ramanuguda and Bathpur.
It has been six decades since the evangelistic work began, reminding the people who crossed the sea from the Kerala coast to earn a living and settled in the Andaman Island communities of God's love and plan of salvation and exhorting them to believe in God in the midst of crises. There are three centers operating here: Bettapur, Mayabhayandar, and Diglipur.
