The Christumitra Ashram, Ankola was established on September 28, 1940 in North Karnataka. By the grace of God, it was possible to complete another year of service. For the past 83 years, the Ashram has been working for the gospel in Ankola town and its surrounding villages through various ministries.
The Ashram Hospital, known in the community as the Missionary Hospital, is a haven for many destitute patients. At present, 4 doctors are serving. More than 28 staff are involved in this ministry. The physiotherapy department also running successfully.
The Seva Mandir is a ministry that was started in the Ajjikatta campus during the silver jubilee year of the ashram. At present, 32 members are staying in this temple and experiencing the ministry. Most of them are tired and burdened by mental illness. A part of the poor relief collection of the Marthoma Gospel Preaching Group, the thanksgiving service on Good Friday from some parishes designated by the church, and the support of some friends of the ashram are the reasons why this ministry continues to be blessed for the group.
