(The  Kadavil Malika  was reclaimed by the  Marthoma  Evangelistic Association and renovated on 10 September 2005.) on the banks of river Pampa. These 12 members are considered the founding fathers of the Malabar Mar Thoma Syrian Christian Evangelistic Association (MTEA).. The Missionary Movement was started in the wake of the reformation Movement pioneered by Abraham Malpan. It marked the revitalization of the ancient church in Kerala and has given new life and inspiration for the total renewal and mission of the church. The church awoke to its missionary task and thus the formation of the association became meaningful. The Evangelistic Association was registered as a Limited company in 1904 under the company's act of India. 131 years have elapsed since its inception and the Association has grown far beyond the dreams and imaginations of the original founders. Rapid strides of progress have been made in evangelistic endeavors in and out side Kerala. Now MTEA has 69 mission centers spread over 19 states and 2 Union territories. 69 missionarys and 194 Evangelists. This spectacular growth was achieved through the untiring efforts, devotion commitment and missionary zeal of our revered Bishops, clergy, evangelists and laymen.
